FLC INFORMATION

1. ENVISION YOUR IMPACT

Envision Your Impact Community Service Night

Team Envision encourages everyone to keep those donations flowing! To help with promotion of Envision Your Impact and to learn about our partnership with Emergency Feeding, the team made a video and flyer to show at a DECA meeting, in your classes, or post to your social media. Click on the following link for video and flyer! http://wadecaflc.org/about#communityservice

We’d love to see how your chapter is doing in collecting donations. Share your success on social media. #EnvisionYourImpact. Remember, the chapter that brings in the most donations will get a pizza party at FLC!

2. HOTEL CREDIT CARD AUTHORIZATION FORMS

Have you submitted your Hotel Credit Card Authorization Form(s) for FLC? The Hyatt doesn’t accept POs. If you cannot pay with a credit card, be sure to contact me ([email protected]).

3. VIP + ADMINISTRATORS EVENT

It’s not too late to invite VIPs and/or administrators to attend this special event that showcases the impact of DECA.

VIP Administrator Day includes attendance at opening session (optional), a Welcome Reception, and a tour

Click Here to download the VIP Administrator Day invitation. RSVP to Lori Hairston ([email protected]).

4. SPIRIT BOX ENTERPRISE

Be sure to visit members of the Spirit Box team at the Marketing Fair at FLC in Bellevue, and attend their workshop, to learn if automated retail would be a good fit for your chapter.https://www.spiritboxnation.com/take-action/

5. SPIRIT BOX ENTERPRISE

Running a school store is a great real-world opportunity for DECA members to learn how to run a business. However, not all chapters have access to the space required to set up and run a brick-and-mortar school store.

DECA NAB member, Spirit Box LLC, has a solution for chapters that don't have a school store, or are looking to take their brick-and-mortar operations to the next level. This automated school store program includes everything from equipment and initial inventory, to lesson plans, and onsite training at your school.

Your chapter can launch a Spirit Box enterprise in just 6 weeks. Learn more about the Spirit Box program here: www.SpiritBoxNation.com, or apply for your Spirit Box at: https://www.spiritboxnation.com/take-action/.

6. ROCK THE EXAM WEBINAR

This week’s webinar provides some great information to share with your students on the development of the DECA exams. We also provide some tips on how to study for the exam, and for those that attend FLC, how to make the most of the practice tests being provided by Washington DECA.

The webinar will be archived and posted on Teach DECA by the end of the week.

7. OVERVIEW AND GUIDELINES FOR STATE COMPETITIVE EVENTS

Attached is a corrected Overview and Guidelines for State Competitive Events document. There was an error regarding the IBP page length.

This document gives you an at-a-glance view of the events, if they are Area events, if there is a test, deadlines, and number of pages for the written events. Handy!

8. TEACHDECA.ORG DOCUMENT LIBRARY
