1. WASHINGTON DECA’S NEW ADDRESS
Washington DECA has MOVED! We started working in our new office on Monday, November 5.
Our new address is:
16040 Christensen Road Suite 215 | Tukwila, WA 98188
Our phone, fax, and extension numbers haven’t changed.

2. MEMBERSHIP
A. Allocations. The Area competitive event allocations will be determined on November 15 using each Area’s total membership and its percentage of the total state membership.
*Attached are allocations from LAST YEAR, to use as a base.
*Also attached are the membership numbers so far THIS YEAR, sorted by Area.

B. Membership Recognition. Based on the membership numbers on October 19, the following chapters were recognized on screen at FLC!
Largest Chapter Overall: Chiawana High School
Largest % Increase Overall: Deer Park
Largest Chapter by Area: Area 1: Lake Stevens; Area 2: Roosevelt; Area 3: Woodinville; Area 4: Liberty; Area 5: Hazen; Area 6: Chiawana; Area 7: South Kitsap; Area 8: Capital; Area 9: Camas; Area 10: Quincy; Area 11: Central Valley
Largest % Increase by Area: *I don’t believe these were scrolled on screen, but I want to make sure these chapters are recognized too!

Will these chapters maintain their status when we recognize the membership achievements at SCDC? We’ll find out at the Opening Session on February 28! 

At SCDC, we will also recognize the chapter with the highest percentage of membership per “capita” (school size) and any chapters that meet the Give Us Five criteria, which is to increase student, alumni, and professional membership by five over last year.

C. Membership Pins, Certificates, and Cards. Have you noticed in membership that you can request additional DECA pins, print membership certificates, and print membership cards for your members?

*To print certificates and/or cards, log in, see the middle blue bar on the left, and click on Print Membership Cards or Print Membership Certificates. *Members must be “paid” in order print certificates or cards for them.

5. INTEGRATED MARKETING CAMPAIGNS (gone FMP, SEPP, ADC)
Just a reminder that this year, DECA Inc. dropped Fashion Merchandising Plan (FMP), Sports and Entertainment Marketing Plan (SEPP), and Ad Campaign (ADC).

6. AREA CONFERENCE INFO ON TEACH DECA
For planning purposes, information about each area's conference has been posted on Teach DECA / Quick Links / Conferences. If no information is posted, please contact your area leader at your convenience.

7. STATE OFFICER REQUEST FORM ON TEACH DECA
One of the best ways to get your members excited about DECA is to request a visit from a State Officer. These can be done virtually or in-person. The link is on Teach DECA / Contact Us.

8. IDEA CHALLENGE TOOLKIT ON TEACH DECA
Available NOW on Teach DECA / Unit Two is the 2018-2019 toolkit for the Idea Challenge! The product item will be released on November 9, 2018! Remember, 3 Idea Challenge submissions are required for the Global Entrepreneurship Campaign!

1. FLC UNPAID BALANCES
Attached is a list of the unpaid balances for FLC. Please contact Nancy if you have questions or believe there is a mistake.
*If you have a credit due, I will be in touch with you to determine to whom and where the check should be sent.

2. ONLINE CONFERENCE SURVEY
Remember to complete the online Advisor FLC Survey by November 14 and evaluate at least 5 breakout sessions you attended (for Clock Hours). We value your feedback very much!
*Please encourage your students also to complete the Student FLC Survey.
