2. PRO-SPORTS CAREER DAY TICKETS AND SPEAKER-PANEL QUESTIONS
There is still time to “slide” in your ticket orders until Tuesday, May 28.
- Please “pitch” your students’ speaker panel questions in advance to Eliza Webb.

3. WA DECA LUNCHEON NEWS
Yesterday, Washington DECA held our annual fundraising luncheon at Club Husky in the Husky Stadium. A few highlights included:
- The WAME One-Day Workshop was co-located, so we had lots of advisors there to join us at the luncheon.
- Dick Fain, sports radio talk show host and play-by-play voice of Seattle Storm was our MC.
- Husky men’s basketball coach, Mike Hopkins (Coach Hop), inspired the crowd with his infectious energy and humor and words of wisdom.
- D’Andre Vasquez, 2019-20 International DECA President from Leavenworth HS, shared his story of adversity and how DECA has made a such difference in his life.
- We inducted Rick Davis (2018 retired marketing teacher/advisor from Kelso) into to the Washington DECA Hall of Fame. His former student and successful entrepreneur, Chris McCoy, presented the award.
- We presented PEMCO Insurance, longtime DECA supporter, with our annual DECA Diamond Award.
- One happy raffle ticket holder won two round-trip Alaska Airlines tickets to anywhere Alaska Airlines flies.
- Amazing sports-related auction items were snapped up by generous supporters.
