ICDC

1. PRACTICE TESTS FOR ICDC-BOUND STUDENTS
Practice tests are open for ICDC-bound students. Please contact Linda Andersen for the password.

2. ICDC ONSITE CHECK-IN
ICDC check-in will be open from 6:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. on Friday, April 26, and 8:00 a.m. - 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 27. Location in the Hyatt hotel to be determined. 

3. NO STATE MEETING
There will not be a Washington State meeting at ICDC. The topic was sent out for a vote in early December, and it was almost unanimous to not hold a state meeting on Friday, April 26.

4. SAFETY/SECURITY
Your ICDC conference materials will include important announcements and safety information. Please pay close attention to the safety and security information. We will have additional security in the hotel, and all chapters must comply with the curfew set by DECA Inc.

5. ICDC BALANCES – DUE APRIL 12, 2019
Payment (check or credit card) for ICDC registration and housing is due to Washington DECA by April 12.

- Attached is a list of chapters with a balance as of today.

- Please be sure you have submitted your student and advisor registration and housing invoices to the appropriate bookkeepers.

SCDC

1. SCDC BALANCES DUE
There are 30 chapters that have SCDC balances past due. Attached is the list. If your chapter is on the list, please reach out to your accounts payable people to make sure payment is in process.

- Washington DECA takes credit card payments over the phone, and no additional fees apply.

MEMBERSHIP

1. MEMBERSHIP BALANCES DUE
There are 16 chapters with one or more unpaid membership invoice(s). Attached is the list. If your chapter is on the list, please reach out to your accounts payable people to make sure payment is in process.

- Credit card payments can be made in the membership portal, and no additional fees apply.

GENERAL

1. DECA INC SCHOLARSHIP WINNERS ANNOUNCED
The winners of the DECA Inc scholarships were announced in the March 22 DECA Direct! Click Here to see the list. Congratulations to all Washington recipients!

2. DECA STYLES WEBINAR POSTED
Our final webinar of the year was recorded and posted on Teach DECA last Thursday. It is about the DECA Styles Assessment you can give to not only your officers, but to all your students at the beginning of the year.

- This provides a way to create effective groups and help students learn to work collaboratively with each other.

- Suggestion: Have your leadership team administer the assessment the first week of school, to establish them in their leadership roles.

3. 2019-2020 LEADERSHIP TEAM TIME
This is a perfect time of year to be thinking about choosing your 2019-2020 leadership team. There are great resources on Teach DECA in Unit One and Unit Two, as well as some timely webinars! For your convenience, Click Here for the entire Elevate Leadership Series. Modules include the following

5. WAME ONE-DAY WORKSHOP
The spring WAME One-Day Workshop will take place May 22, in collaboration with Washington DECA’s Emerging Leader Spring Luncheon!
