1. SCDC JUDGES NEEDED
We are still in need of judges for SCDC. As you can imagine, with the weather we’ve had, some judges have had to back out due to missed work. Please send names and email addresses to Linda Andersen if you know of someone who would be interested in judging. Thank you, in advance!

2. SCDC SAFETY INFORMATION
We cannot emphasize enough the importance of diligence to ensure the safety of all participants during an event such as SCDC. Please purposefully go through the attached Safety information with your students.

3. CONFERENCE PROGRAM
The Conference Program is available for your viewing pleasure! Click Here to download the program, or go to teachdeca.org | Quick Links | Document Library | SCDC | Agenda/Conference Program (2nd from bottom item).

4. HOTEL CREDIT CARD AUTHORIZATION FORMS AND/OR POs
I still need Housing POs or Hotel Credit Card Authorization Forms from a number of chapters that have been contacted.

- Please send me your documents, and I will securely get them to my dedicated contact at your hotel.

- Hotels may not release your room keys without your method of payment on file.

5. SCDC SCHOOL BUS DROP OFF/PICK UP
School buses may not drop off or pick up attendees at Meydenbauer Center. Police will issue tickets to bus drivers who attempt to do this. Please have your bus driver drop off/pick up at your hotel in the designated location. If there is already a school bus there, your driver may not block traffic. They should continue driving and loop back around…just like at the airport!

- Courtyard Marriott: 110th Ave NE

- Hilton: Lower level entrance

- Hyatt: NE 10th St (the Hyatt has a staging process for bus pick-up after the conference)

- Red Lion: Main entrance to hotel, facing I-405

- Marriott Residence Inn: Main entrance to hotel

- Marriott Bellevue: Main entrance on 110th Ave NE

- Sheraton: Rear entrance to hotel

- Westin: Main entrance to hotel

6. SCDC SHUTTLE BUSES
WA DECA provides Shuttle Buses by Beeline Charters and Tours to get you where you need to be on time! Please see page 7 in the Conference Program for details.

7. UPDATED ADVISOR EVENT ASSISTANT LIST
Attached is an updated Advisor Event Assistant List. You will get a copy of the most current list in your conference materials upon check-in. Be sure to check it again.

8. STUDENT COMPETITIVE EVENT TIMES
You can now access your students’ competitive event times in SCDC registration.

- Go to the SCDC Registration site and log in with your user name and password.

- Click on View Schedule.

- You can export this as a spreadsheet and print it for your records.

9. STUDENT ID
Students will be asked for their photo ID when they check in for competition. It’s always a good idea for them to take a picture of it, just in case.

10. OPENING SESSION OVERFLOW
Some chapters prefer the quiet of the overflow opening or closing session in the Meydenbauer Theatre.

- If you would like to request the overflow space for one or both sessions, please let us know no later than Monday.

- The list of who will be assigned to the Theatre for opening or closing sessions will be provided Tuesday, 2/26.

11. GLOW STICKS
Pre-ordered Glow Sticks may be picked up on Friday, 3/01 in the Meydenbauer lobby. Students/chapters may also purchase Glow Sticks there using cash or check. Only the Glow Sticks purchased from WA DECA may be used during closing session. Outside spirit items are not allowed.

- Proceeds go toward the Visionary Scholarship, led by Team Envision, your State Officer Team.

- Click Here to pre-order your GLOWSTICKS: https://washingtondeca.org/scdc-glowsticks

- Glowsticks are available at a special $2 rate for pre-orders ($3 onsite at SCDC). Purchase now while supplies last!

12. WA DECA MOVING TO MEYDENBAUER 2/26
Washington DECA will move to Bellevue on Tuesday, 2/26, and our office will be closed 2/26-3/2.
