ICDC

1. ICDC REGISTRATION REVIEW
Attached is Washington DECA’s ICDC registration, including students’ competitive event assignments. Please review this, and let me know if you see anything amiss.

2. BALANCES DUE
ICDC payments were due April 12. Attached is a list of chapters with balances due. Please let me know if you have any questions.
Eligible scholarship awards will be mailed once a chapter’s SCDC, Glowstick, ICDC, and Membership balances have been paid.

3. TRANSPORTATION INFORMATION
If you haven’t already arranged your ground transportation plans, below are links to various options.

Airport Transfers/Theme Park and Local Transfers. Click Here for information about various sized group transfers.

Orlando International Airport/Local Transport: Click Here for information about transportation from the airport using local bus, ride share companies, taxi cabs, and shuttle vans.

4. CHECK-IN AND MATERIALS PICK-UP SCHEDULE AND LOCATION
The location of WA DECA’s conference check in is the Orlando Ballroom, Tower 1. The times WA DECA will be in that location to distribute your conference materials are:

Friday, April 26: 6:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.

Saturday, April 27: 8:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m.

6. CONFERENCE PROGRAM

7. ADVISOR SHIFTS
Attached is the current list of ICDC advisor shifts and corresponding advisor contact information.

8. RECREATIONAL ATTIRE
Dress Code at ICDC when visiting attractions and participating in recreational activities in Orlando is outlined below.

Recreational Attire is appropriate for activities such as swimming, utilizing the gym, participating in the DECA 5K, or visiting attractions. Neat, clean, and modest is key to positive representation.

Swimming, Gym, Running, DECA 5K Event
Gym clothes in the hotel hallway and elevator to and from the gym, but not in the hotel lobby or other public hotel spaces.

Swimsuit with an appropriate cover-up in the hotel hallway and elevator to and from the hotel pool, but not in the hotel lobby or other public hotel spaces. Not appropriate: Towels, robes, and revealing cover-ups.

Modest running attire for the ICDC 5K event.

Footwear appropriate for the activity.

Hats are allowed at the pool and when running the ICDC 5K event or exercising/running outdoors.

Visiting Theme Parks / DECA Tours
Casual slacks, khakis, cords.

Dress shorts, walking shorts, skirts (no more than 3” above knee / i.e., a 7-inch inseam for females and a 9-inch inseam for males is appropriate).

Polo shirts, button downs, sweaters, blouses.

DECA t-shirts and sweatshirts.

Neat and clean shoes appropriate for the activity.

Hats.

Prohibited Attire

Leggings.

Denim of any kind or color.

Caps, hats (exceptions noted above), or bandanas.

Sheer fabrics or revealing cuts.

Strappy tank tops or camisoles (unless under a blazer, jacket, or cardigan).

5. CAREER EXPLORATION UNIT
A quick reminder that there is a Career Exploration Unit on Teach DECA | Unit Two. It’s a great end-of-the-year project for underclassman courses. This project should provide guidance into competitive event categories by personality type and career interest for next year.
