1. TEACHER, ADVISOR, AND CHAPTER ASSISTANCE SURVEY

WA DECA, the Board of Directors, and WAME ask that you please complete this Survey Monkey survey at surveymonkey.com/r/FFH7M2S. The data gathered will be used to identify strategies to best assist teachers, advisors, and chapters.

- There are only 10 questions.

- All advisors who complete the survey will be entered in a drawing for 2 Amazon gift cards.

THANK YOU!

2. ADVISOR HELP LIST

Attached is the Advisor Help List for SCDC. If you have any conflicts with your schedule, please arrange to trade or get someone to cover your shift. As with your Area Conferences, we all know it takes a village to make these events successful, and we appreciate your support!

3. SCDC CONFERENCE PROGRAM

Attached is an advance copy of the SCDC Conference Program for your planning purposes. It’s a big file, so I’m crossing my fingers it goes through.

4. SBE CERTIFICATION RESULTS

In case you didn’t get the message earlier this week, the SBE gold certification and re-certification results are now posted online here.

5. SCDC SHUTTLE SCHEDULE

Please note that final loading of SCDC shuttles will end at 10:00 p.m. Thursday and Friday. Please remind your students to ensure they are on a bus by 10:00 p.m. each night so they will make curfew.

6. 2018-2019 STATE PRESIDENT CAMPAIGN AND VOTING AT SCDC

An important aspect of this conference is the election of the State President who will represent and serve Washington DECA members in the coming year. Each candidate has gone through a thorough pre-candidacy vetting, including a test, interview, application, and more.

DECA members will listen to the speeches during opening session, visit the campaign booths on Thursdayand Friday at Meydenbauer Center, and will let their voting delegate(s) know who they believe is the most qualified to lead Washington DECA in 2018-2019.

- Voting delegate ribbons will be included in each chapter’s registration packet and should be attached to the delegate’s name badge.

- Please select who your voting delegate(s) will be, prior to SCDC. **Senior Academy Members are not eligible to be voting delegates**

Voting Process: Voting delegates will sign-in and cast their votes

Voting Center: Hyatt Main Floor Foyer

Voting Hours: 9:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m.
Results: Election results will be announced March 3 during the Awards Session.

7. K, APP AT SCDC

Washington DECA has partnered with K, Online Inc., which provides a scheduling app that integrates with events, restaurants, and happenings in any locale where you happen to be. This is a perfect tool to help your students schedule their time at SCDC, and they can share their schedule with you! Please see the attached K, App flyer for more information.
